How to set up a Crystal Grid

In this post, I explain how I set up my crystal grids. I had done a lot of research into grids before setting up my own, but in the end, I ended up following my gut and doing what felt "right". Since then, I have continued to set them up this way, just listening to my intuition, and it is how I encourage everyone to do it. You can do it this way or look up how to actually follow the sacred geometry to increase the energies. Whatever you decide to do, as long as you are listening to your own intuition, you are doing it the right way.

What is a crystal grid?

The crystal grid combines different crystals and puts them in beautiful patterns or grids to magnify and expand the collective energy of the crystals. When used correctly, crystal grids can help increase the effectiveness of your crystals.

You will need:

Your intention for the crystal grid. This can be for prosperity, creativity, harmony, etc. The possibilities are endless.

1 large crystal for the center. This can be a tower, sphere, tumble, rough, or any other shape. It just should be larger than the rest of the crystals, but it is not required.  This is your 'focus' stone.

At least 4 supporting crystals. These can be rough or tumbled.

You can also add herbs, charms, flowers, or whatever else calls to you.

Plus you will need one crystal point to act as a wand to connect everything. This one will not be used in the grid. You can use a wand you already have and use, a clear quartz point, or selenite point. Whatever you use, you should use something with a point on the end so that it can direct your energy.

When picking these crystals, it is what calls to you. You always want to follow your intuition or gut feelings when making a crystal grid.

Instructions:

The first thing you need to do is set your intention.  Your intention will help you gather the right crystals for the grid. Next, gather and cleanse your crystals, yourself, and your space.

Make sure the location you place the grid is where you can see it on a daily basis, but not in your way. You don't want to have to move it the next day. You also want to make sure it is safe from children, pets, and curious guests.

Once everything is cleansed, take time to ground yourself and remind yourself of your intention.

If you are using a crystal grid cloth or board, you should make sure it is placed where you want your grid. You can also just make the grid on a photo, a picture you painted or printed, an advertisement for something you want to attract this season, or just the table. You also have the choice to follow a grid you found online or copy the one I have pictured. It can be as fancy or as plain as you want it to be.

Most places tell you to work outward to in when placing the crystals, but you build it how it feels right to you. This is your crystal grid. No one else's. You make it how it feels right to you. I normally start with my focus crystal and work out. So I would place my center crystal in the middle first, right in the center of where I want my grid to be then I would place the supporting crystals. Again, you place these how it feels best to you. This is about you and your intention.

After you have your grid all setup, you will take your wand or point, and "connect" all the crystals like you are playing an invisible game of 'connect the dots' and all your crystals are the dots. This activates the grid. Make sure you go over each one at least once, connecting them all back to your center point. While you are connecting them, you will speak your intention of the crystal grid out loud.

When you are done, make sure you thank the Universe, your God, Goddess, Mother Earth, or even yourself. Just make sure to give thanks. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

Then your grid is all set and can be left up for at least one month, before needing to be cleansed and reset.

What kind of grids do you make? What kind would you like to see posted?
